Hong Kong Trip - day 2 Siang

Sayang sekali sampai disana kantin hampir tutup. Saya hanya tau kalau kantin buka jam 10 pagi sampai jam 9 malam.

Ternyata kopi disini memang enak! Mantap rasa kopinya strong tapi tetap smooth dilidah.
Sayangnya pelayan disana galak banget!

Hong Kong trip 2016, day 1

Day 1, Denpasar - Hong Kong (transit via Singapore)
We've been excited for this Hong Kong trip as it will be the first time for my 5 yo daughter & my sister.
Apart from going on a "semi" business trip to the Vinexpo 2016, 24-26 May  (World Wine Expo that is held every 2 years), I also promised my daughter to take her to Hong Kong Disneyland.
Today 20th May 2016 we took off from Ngurah Rai International airport, Bali destination Singapore at 13.05 with flight SQ 943.

Had a good meal on board, a tray of vermicelli salad, tasty roast chicken with mashed potato & steamed veggies + chocolate mousse.

Arrived more than 2 hours later at  Changi Airport we take the advantage of 3 hours transit for wandering around the shops, pay a visit at the Butterfly Garden (2nd floor on Terminal 3) & off course sipping the local coffee is a must!

And at 18.30 sharp SQ 002 big Boeing 777-300ER (Singapore - San Fransisco via Hongkong) flew us to our final destination.
Flight was a bit bumpy all the way, food was just OK. Steamed fish with creamy lemon sauce & penne, smoked chicken potato salad & chocolate coated vanilla ice cream as dessert.

But the last 15 minutes on board felt like hell. I am a freakin' worst paranoid of all. But that was like, literally I could feel my heart beat so fast on my neck's vain. That's how scary it was.
My goodness I could only see the outside was black with lots of lightening & water poured heavily.
After a while, I didn't even realize that we were landing already as it all felt just like jumping up and down inside a Coke can!
Funnily my little daughter who sat next to me thinking she was on a fun ride at a theme park somewhere.
Pheeeeewwww... Most most important is that at 22.15 we landed safely, however.
As we were 5 pax with 6 luggages, we took 2 taxis and arrived at Wharney Guang Dong Hotel in Wanchai, Hong Kong island over midnight. Taxi cost HK $400 each
Tonight I didn't even change my sleeping position that's how tired and stressful I was..
Oh well tomorrow is a brand new day, one can only hope for a beautiful day.
Bonne Nuit!

WARUNG AVA Italian Pizzeria & Ristorante

Warung AVA Italian Pizzeria & Ristorante is located in Jl. Raya Canggu, banjar Semer, Bali
From the outside it looks like a big shed with a wood fire oven station on the right side as soon as you walk in. It never looked really busy actually as they do lots of take aways to villas around Canggu area

I came here for the first time a few months back and last night was my second visit in 1 week hahahaa... I was wondering myself why i didn't come more often before.

Our family is quite a big fan of pizza and I'm telling you, Pizzas in Warung Ava are the champion!!
There are 2 sizes of Pizza which is Medium, with diameter of 30cm and Big size of 50cm diameter.
The pizza dough is tasty like a fresh baked bread, a bit crunchy on the outside but soft in the inside, it's kinda thin pizza but not so thin.
We decided to order a simple Margherita pizza medium (Tomato & mozzarella cheese) & Big Quattro Stagioni pizza (Tomato, mozzarella, ham, mushroom, black olive & wurstel sausage)
THEY WERE SO GOOD....
I coincidentally met some friends who had dinner here last night & asked them what is their favorite dish here & surprisingly they said The Best Pizza in Bali! There you go..

And as for our second course i chose Spaghetti aglio olio tuna with extra chopped chilly (as usual) which turned up to become my future favorite dish to. The whole taste is just right.
I ordered spaghetti tuna in many other places, they are not too bad too but sometimes you still need to put some salt or i even asked for parmigiano cheese just add more taste into the dish. But this one here is just right! I'm drooling just imagining it.. :)

And i also picked some meatballs, sauteed chicken liver & grilled eggplants as side dishes from the buffet counter to be eaten with warm pizza bread. Yumm!

Price wise t is not a cheap eatery, but for what you spend you get a good home cooking Italian food.

THE KITCHEN - Bali

I always wanted to come to this cute little cafe behind Sense hotel Sunset Road, Bali since they open couple months back.
So the opportunity came this morning with mothers fellow from my daughter school, we went to have breakfast there.

I like the look of cozy & green looking patio. And it was quite breezy this morning to

We ordered these dishes for share
Big Plate Breakfast @ IDR 75k (we chose scramble egg,  sausage, sauteed mushrooms & French toast)
Cinnamon French toast bites @ IDR 50k &
Chicken pesto panini with provolone cheese, Greek yoghurt, mayonnaise.
All dishes are good & tasty

You will also get a free coffee for every meal ordered . Yeaayyyy...!
The only little thing is just it needs a bit of color on the plate to bring up more appetite (and a better food photos)
Conclusion is we were happy with the meal & atmosphere

ESPRESS COFFEE HOUSE - Bali

Espress Coffee House a humble coffee house where i always go for my morning coffee (or afternoon, or even evening sometimes)

Well my whole family love the coffee here, even my toddler daughter her  babycinno & spaghetti with sausage!

I can assure you that the coffee is always good, strong but smooth. Well my favorit is Melbourne latté or double latté.
And the best thing, you dont have to reach deep into your pocket as you can see in the menu.

Can't beat a good coffee with a good price anywhere! That explain why they are always busy
Espress Coffee House was openned by an Australian guy who wanted to serve good coffee at a reasonable price to a local & tourist market.
This place was the only coffeshop back then, in a now become Bali's busy eatery street, Jl. Dewi Sri.
Now it is run buy twin brothers who keep everything as it was plus make the place bigger & better.

Apart from serving coffee, they also serve simple meal for breakfast, lunch & dinner
